Alaa Satir, born in 1990 in Khartoum, Sudan, is a visual artist whose illustrations, murals, and comics shine a spotlight on women’s rights, social change, and political issues in Sudan. She gained international recognition for her murals during the Sudanese Revolution, celebrating the vital role of women in the movement. Beyond her art, Alaa is a passionate advocate for freedom of expression, social justice, and gender equality, and she is a member of Cartooning for Peace, lives in London, and works as a Creative Content Producer at The Line.
