Faiz Abubakr is Sudanese photographer from Kassala whose stunning work captures life amid conflict and displacement in Sudan. From Khartoum and beyond, he documents the human impact of war, from frontline struggles to the daily realities of displaced communities. His images have been featured internationally and recognized with awards such as the World Press Photo regional prize for Africa, and have been published by MSF, Agence France-Presse, The New York Times, and Le Monde.

Through intimate and unflinching imagery, Faiz Abubakr continues to bear witness to Sudan’s turbulent present. Recently, he has focused on humanitarian settings in eastern Sudan, highlighting both the challenges people face and their remarkable resilience.  See more of his work here.
