Hind El Taher is a Sudanese-French singer and world music artist based in Paris, and the lead voice behind Hind Kandaka Band. Born in Sudan, she began performing at a young age and has developed a distinctive musical style rooted in Sudanese traditions and shaped by global influences. Together with her band, she draws on ancestral rhythms and melodies, reworking them through contemporary arrangements that blend Sudanese musical forms with rock energy, electronic textures, jazz, and Afro-diasporic sounds.

From Paris, Hind Kandaka Band forges a vibrant and modern sound where African heritage meets urban atmospheres. Hind’s deep and expressive voice carries compositions that move between groove, trance, and poetry. On stage, each performance becomes an immersive experience—a sensory journey connecting tradition, modernity, and emotion.

Beyond her artistic work, Hind is the founder of the One Euro Association, which supports displaced Sudanese communities through urgent and direct aid, including access to clean drinking water, food assistance, and medicine. The association has also supported this event by serving as its legal backbone, making the project possible. Through both her music and her organizing, Hind remains deeply committed to solidarity, cultural exchange, and community support.
