Brenda is a graduate of Global Studies in Latin America with an emphasis on human rights, refugees, and immigration from the University of Arizona. She has worked at an asylum seekers crisis shelter in Arizona and family reunification in the Washington, DC area.  From El Salvador, she is an immigrant and first-generation student who is committed to working with those who have been forcefully displaced and are in search of a better life with opportunities. In collaboration with the Women’s Consultation Program, she is determined to continue to grow and work toward protecting women, and all those vulnerable in the migration crises around the world. In the future, she would like to return and live in Latin America, where she will work towards addressing the root causes of migration.
