Chiamaka is an astute human rights activist who is driven by the vision to abridge the gap created by structural inequalities in society especially for women, children, migrants and disabled people. She currently works as research assistant to the former rapporteur of the United Nations (UN) on trafficking of women, where she collates research materials for seminars focused on women’s rights globally.

She worked briefly as a Research Assistant at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs, an advisory unit of the Nigerian ministry of Foreign Affairs. During this time, she supported the formulation of women-focused policies in Nigerian foreign policy relations.

In furtherance to advancing her knowledge in Migration and human rights, she has undertaken the following courses: International Human Rights Law at the University of Nigeria and Introduction to the law of Migration under the United Nations Training and Research Institute(UNITAR). She has equally attended local and international forums and conferences where solutions to end trafficking, irregular migration and child labour were extensively discussed.

It is her aspiration to one day be on a platform where human rights policies are translated into executive actions; a platform that improves humanity, one life at a time.
