Leah is a blogger for Migrant Matters. She is a Refugee Resettlement Expert roster member with RefugePoint and an International Law and Human Rights MA student with the United Nations University for Peace, Costa Rica. She also holds an Advanced Migration Studies MA from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. Before graduate school, Leah worked with a nonprofit law firm representing detained asylum seekers in their deportation cases. She is originally from the United States, but is fortunate to also call Costa Rica, Denmark, and Mexico home.
