Mona has served in the humanitarian aid sector, as well as in public affairs and litigation communications consulting. She has a deep interest in global migration issues, including the protection of vulnerable populations migrating from and living in fragile settings. She is also passionate about the protection of immigrant and refugee children, and advocating for immigrant and refugee rights worldwide. Mona holds a Master’s degree in International Affairs from The George Washington University and a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from The American University in Cairo’s School of Global Affairs and Public Policy. She has also studied refugee law as part of an International Human Rights Law program at the University of Oxford.
